About

Hello! I'm Jules Woodwark, a React developer based in Edinburgh, with a mixed background in science and technology.

After graduating from Newcastle University in 2014 with a BSc in Medicinal Chemistry, I worked for a small company in Yorkshire, firstly as an IT Support Technician, before being offered an internal role as a Website Manager, to help the company transition from CS-Cart to Magento.

After a couple of years away from programming, which included an eye-opening trip to India, followed by a masters degree in Environmental Studies at the University of Strathclyde, I felt the urge to come back into the field.

For the past year I've been studying modern web development technologies, focusing on the fundamentals of React, but most recently I have been deep diving into frameworks such as Gatsby and Next.js. I am now looking for a junior level React developer role in Edinburgh. I'm really looking forward to collaborating with a team of developers and continuing my personal development.
